Hi mum. It's my birthday today and I can't tell you how sad it feels not to have you here for it. I don't even want a birthday without you. If anyone made our birthdays special, it was you. You used to make me a cake and do my favorite dinner. Dad has invited us all for dinner today so at least I won't be on my own.
